Agility

Agility is an exciting, fast-paced sport that gives Pembroke Welsh Corgis a chance to put their intelligence, enthusiasm, and athletic ability to work. On a timed course, the dog and handler work together to navigate obstacles such as jumps, tunnels, weave poles, teeter-totters, A-frame, and more in the correct order. Pembrokes are well suited to agility, bringing their outgoing personalities and eagerness to learn to every run. While basic obedience is an important foundation, agility training teaches both dog and handler how to communicate through body language, hand signals, and verbal cues. As the partnership develops, the two become a true team, working together with speed, accuracy, and confidence. Whether they are enjoying their first competition or taking on the challenge of advanced and national-level events, Pembrokes bring plenty of enthusiasm and personality to the agility ring; and their short legs certainly don't slow them down!
