Barn Hunt

Barn Hunt is an exciting sport that puts a Pembroke Welsh Corgi’s natural instincts, confidence, and determination to work. In Barn Hunt, dogs search through a course of hay bales, tunnels, and other obstacles to locate hidden rats, using their keen sense of smell to identify the correct tube. Pembrokes can be enthusiastic and determined hunters, and their size and athletic ability make them well suited to navigating the course. As with any sport, training helps build a strong partnership between dog and handler, teaching the handler to recognize the dog’s unique signals and work as a team. Whether competing for their first title or taking on advanced levels, Pembrokes bring plenty of enthusiasm, curiosity, and personality to the Barn Hunt ring.
